Who We Are

Lisa Dundon

Lisa provides direction and management for the team, and serves as the senior instructional designer for the group. She has over ten years experience designing and building online educational media. Her career in the area of online teaching and training began at The CBORD Group with the development of online help systems and multimedia tutorials and continued at eCornell and Cornell University with the development of Web-based courses. Lisa has degrees in cognitive psychology, physics, and mathematics. She formed Ithaca Content Architecture and Design in 2005.

Heather Burlew-Hayden

Heather applies her years of sales and marketing experience to directing ICAD's business strategy and development. She discovers and underscores our unique assets as a team and counsels us on how best to communicate and leverage them. Our financial doyenne, she directs ICAD's marketing efforts and works with us to build our core competencies of instructional design and Web site development. Heather has a prelaw BA in political science and has completed graduate courses in psychology and business.

Dennis Charsky

With expertise in the areas of web design, visual literacy, simulations, games, instructional design, and e-learning, Dennis provides instructional design leadership on numerous team projects. Dennis has a doctorate in Educational Technology and holds a position as assistant professor at Ithaca College, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate course in the field of instructional design and technology.

Mario Hernandez

Mario provides editorial supervision on our projects and, in addition to being a lecturer in English, has collaborated for several years with members of this team. His strict policies on style drive the high quality of our work, and his degrees in literature and teaching keep our efforts grounded in the considerably older technologies of language and discussion as we extend their reach on the Web.

Megan Sullivan

Megan brings her expertise in Web design and programming, information architecture, and user-centered interface design to team projects. Her background also includes curriculum and training-program development and the creation of instructional materials, both for the Web and for publication. Megan has a B.S. in organizational communication, learning, and design from Ithaca College and consults with institutions of higher learning on implementation projects and the development of training programs.

She has served as the online media producer and book acquisitions editor for the Women's Sports Foundation.

Robert Abrams Consulting

Robert Abrams Consulting offers services in knowledge management, education research, Web site design, dance publishing, and concept mapping. One common thread through all of these services is expertise in evaluation. Today, many people expect both technical and artistic excellence in the products and services they buy. Robert Abrams Consulting provides both.

Michael Grace-Martin

Mike's many skills include content architecture, site design, instructional design, usability analysis, and photography. We benefit from his long history of thinking about and working on issues related to human–computer interactions, including his design and implementation of online educational programs. With a strong background in cognitive psychology, he brings an important perspective to our group. Find out more about Michael Grace-Martin at www.mgm_photography.com.

Gordon Holloway

Gordon has created print and Web-based designs professionally for over fifteen years. Through his formal education, which stressed "old school" graphic-design techniques, he developed his keen eye, attention to detail, color usage, and typographical sensitivity. As a designer working in the field, he has embraced the digital tool kit available today, and so he brings together a knowledge of old and new methodologies in every project he designs.

Gordon has a B.F.A. in graphic design and an associates degree in illustration. In addition to contributing to ICAD projects, he currently practices his art as the senior graphic designer for The CBORD Group, Inc.
