Training for the Youth Peer Advocate Program

plaid-and-smileThe Youth Peer Advocate service provides support and advocacy for youth with serious emotional disturbances. Facilitated by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), it makes it possible for these youth to work one-on-one with young adults who have first-hand knowledge of the recovery process.

To become a Youth Peer Advocate, a young person must complete a two-part training. The first part is an online program created by ICAD, YOUTH POWER!, and ACT for Youth.
